$39 for one of the best meals you will ever have!

This weekend you could go to Boston and spend upwards of $100-$200 per person on a Valentine's meal, or you could taste some delicious treats off Chef Matt O'Neil's tasty weekend prix fixe menu at The Blue Ox for just $39 per person.

1st course
frisee salad, house made duck prosciutto, apricots, blue cheese, pistachio, maple vinaigrette
or
cauliflower soup, smoked bay scallops, truffle oil, chive

2nd course
grilled petite filet mignon, asparagus, mashed potatoes, port wine sauce
or
potato gnocchi. lobster, stewed leeks, butternut squash, mascarpone, Parmigiano
~
3rd course
cheesecake with almond crust, berries
or
chocolate cake with hazelnut crunch, berries


I'm going for the salad, filet mignon, and cheesecake. We got reservations a while back for the 14th. You are not completely out of luck just yet. They still show reservations for Saturday night at 9 available and they handle walk-ins. You might want to call ahead. Get in on the Valentine's Day madness in Downtown Lynn.
