Hey I'm going for BBQ... Anyone want some?

How do we attract a business like Red Bones to Downtown Lynn?

It's the most ideal addition to the Downtown area as we become a new destination when people are deciding where to go out to eat with friends.

BBQ is ideal for the Lynners who have been here forever and for the new Lynners now swarming the Downtown area.  There's a tiny BBQ place on Western Ave. Maybe they could be convinced to open a larger space in the Downtown area with some incentives.

Now, if only we could convince that eyesore we used to call Hawthorne's to sell that prime real estate right in the heart of everything. They should be ashamed of themselves. It's a pity they are allowed to squat on this plot of land. What is going on in there anyway? Last night the lights were on in there.

So what do you guys think? BBQ? or is there a better idea for Downtown Lynn?

  1. I've heard through the grapevine that a BBQ place is looking to locate next to Turbine.

  2. anything that is different is always good. keep it coming.

  3. I think that a BBQ restaurant would be perfect for downtown Lynn. I think it would be a destination for Lynners and out of towners. I also dream about the Hawthorne building being used again. It is prime real estate and a nice building. Well, with Blue Ox doing well, DTL can be a destination place for an extraordinary dining experience, as the Blue Ox has proved!

  4. How about a real barbecue restaurant like Blue Ribbon?
