Water is Safe from what I Can Tell!

Lynn, MA Water is not supplied by MWRA with the exception of GE. We should be free and clear to do whatever we wish with the water coming out of our faucets.

We're not on any list from,,, etc. To the best of my knowledge, we're in the clear.

I called the DPW 24 hour line and no one answered. :-) I called the 211 line, they are telling you to call on the TV and all I get is a message telling me "The operator is not available"

Basically, if you work at GE, don't drink the water. Otherwise, Lynners.... you're free and clear.

Legal notice: Please contact Lynn Water and Sewer or the Mass DEP for confirmation of this. I'm just telling you what I know.

I'm gonna go pour myself a nice glass of water (from the sink) and go to bed. Good night, Lynn.

  1. Thank the city forefathers for planning the use of local ponds for our water supply. Urban planning that paid off just now. Some areas like Walden pond were flooded similar to the Quabbin Resevoir, to provide even more water, laying waste to any structures that may have been built there.

I've read that it's especially hard for restaurants to comply with the boil water rule. Maybe diners should consider a Lynn restaurant for their dinner in the meantime.

  2. it has more to do with the fact that Lynn is supplied with water that is local and treated by the water treatment plant on parkland ave. as a lynner, you should know this.
