Arts After Hours has a very exciting event lined up for March 5th, 2011. From 7-9PM at LynnArts, 25 Exchange Street, we will have The Kings of New Orleans featuring the music of Elephant Wrecking Ball. The People's Poet, Elizabeth McKim, will be honored with the 2011 AAH Award.
The Blue Ox and Chef Matt O'Neil will be on hand providing Blue Ox cuisine with a New Orleans twist. Turbine Wine Bar and Steve Hanley will be bringing their award winning wine list and beer to the event as well.
I'm also personally excited about the various aspects of artist involvement in this month's event. Stake Airbrushing will be on hand with bodypainting for $10 a person. We'll keep it PG-13, don't worry. :-) Ridiculous city ordinances will remain in force.
We are bringing in some artist tables and a Saugus company called Artist and Craftsman Supply will be on hand with a free printmaking booth.
Finally, Spiral Glyphics will be outside at 9PM with a fire spinning, fleshing, eating, dancing extravaganza. We hear this is going to be their best show yet.
You can buy tickets now, and I do recommend you get a ticket ahead of time or get to the event early. We've kept admission low at $8 so lots of people can enjoy the music and the company of neighbors and friends. Food and wine are an additional charge.
Come and join us on March 5th. It's going to be quite a party!
