We're on a Boat! - Lynn Commuter Ferry Gets One Step Closer

The EDIC is making great strides with the help of Senator McGee's office in bringing a commuter ferry to Lynn. The other day, we all took a trial ride to see what all the hype was about. I can honestly say, I can't wait to be on this boat for real on a day like today coming home from work!

When you're done watching my silly video, go to LynnHappens to get the real scope from LynnHappens guest columnist, Will Dowd.

  1. This is a great idea.   I just wonder why it is taking so long.  I first heard of this when Jim Cowdell and then Mayor Clancey announced this at a breakfast meeting in May 2008.  thatt was 3 1/2 years, and now another 2 1/2 years.  Maybe these things take time.....maybe I am in to much of a hurry, but lets get this up and running and bring on The Waterfront.

  2. it's quite a few millions and it seems about 8000 agencies involved. :-) Balance that against all the priorities for projects like this across Massachusetts and a failing economy since 2008.
Oh god, help me PD, I'm starting to talk like a politician. NOOOOOOO!!!!!

  3. I do understand the process....I just want it now.  I have taken the Salem Ferry before for pleasure, a nice ride into Boston.   I  see the potential this city has and I look forward to the upcoming changes.
