Lynn Museum Hosts Free Family Fun Day as Part of OpenDTL

The Lynn Museum & Historical Society is sponsoring a Free Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 23
from 12-4pm. Family-friendly activities are planned including Silly Sally, a “bubbleologist,” who will be giving a mesmerizing bubble performance where children get to go inside the bubble. She will be creating little bubbles, round bubbles, and even square bubbles! Sally says, “I can’t think of anything I would rather be doing than making people smile. I am grateful to be able to be able to bring out the silliness in others. Giving the gift of happiness is a gift every day for me.” We are thrilled to have her entertain children of all ages at our Family Fun Day.

This event is planned to coincide with “Open DTL,” a neighborhood-wide open house with arts,
music, peeks into local loft residences, arts organizations, museums and businesses sponsored by the Downtown Lynn Neighborhood Association and EDIC. Original live music, a neighborhood yard sale held in Lynn Museum’s Courtyard, and Arts After Hours’ “Meet Ball” are also planned for the day. For more details about “Open DTL,” please visit

Silly Sally will perform at 1 pm. Face-painting, and light snacks will also be available. The Lynn
Museum, located at 590 Washington Street, Lynn, will be open from 12-4 pm. Please join us for a fun day of family entertainment, and tour our current exhibits, including 115: Paint by Numbers and More Than a Number: Stories from Lynn, a collection of transit photos and the stories of the heroic survivors of Cambodia, who fled the Khmer Rouge’s brutal genocide in 1975-79 and went on to make Lynn their home. All are welcome. Free of charge. For more information, visit or call the Museum at 781-581-6200.
